The Story:
" Thod II starts off where the first game finished. Fudd has defeated Larfor and returned back to his world, only to witness the two worlds suddenly merging for a split second. Fudd knows that this must be involved with the other world, and attempts to head back. To his amazement, upon re-entering the portal, an exact copy of himself is formed, and he begins to exist in both his world and the world of Jert.
He has no clue why, until Farlor explains to Fudd that there is a large glitch in the portals, and somebody must be controlling them. Farlor then says that this could only be Larfor, who turns out to have not been killed by Fudd in the first place. Fudd ventures out to seek and destroy Larfor, but ontop of this, Fudd must also destroy the portal link between his world and Jert. Farlor tells him of an adventuress who will help Fudd out, an adventuress who happens to be Fud's never-met sister, but who is it?
The story of Thod II begins here. Who is his mystery sibling? Will he find and destroy Larfor? "
Controls:
The controls are very easy to use once you figure them out. The read-me file does not describe all the controls, so here are the most important ones summarized in one place (with many parts copied in from the readme.txt file):
Spells = take cursor to bottom right of screen:
Switch Worlds
During a playable screen move your mouse cursor to the top right and you'll see a Fudd-head icon. Clicking the icon of Fudd allows you to switch to the other world, as in Thod II there are 2 worlds you explore at once, using Fudd and his clone.
Walkthrough
Although one can move freely between the two worlds (Fudd’s World and World of Jert), this walkthrough completes one world before tackling the next.
Always talk to everyone and always examine (look at) everything in each screen, in order to be able to understand the story. This walkthrough assumes you so so as you go along through the game. I suggest you explore everywhere, talk to everyone, and examine everything everywhere, and try to solve the game before you resort to the walkthrough if you get stuck.
FUDD’S WORLD
Open wardrobe and take broom.
Use broom on plane-mobile.
You will end up in the cyber-café. Take glass.
Go to Cereal Factory, use glass to take bran cereal.
Go to Cinema, talk to street trader to get his business card.
Go to carnival, look at poster, take strongman poster.
Go to café, and go into WC. Look at display board (“wall seems weak”).
Click strongman poster (in your inventory) on the empty space of the display board (the poster sticks onto the empty space).
Go back out to café, and use glass of bran on strongman’s burger. He goes into WC, and punches poster, forming a hole in the wall.
Go into WC and then through hole in wall. You are in an alley.
Examine VAT of blackberry juice and scratches on kitchen door.
Use now-empty glass on blackberry juice in VAT.
Go back through hole in wall, go out of WC, and exit café.
Go to cinema, and click blackberry juice on water in fountain to dilute juice.
Give juice to builder (street-worker).
Press button on yellow generator next to builder – this changes it to maximum power and builder gets blown away after a minute.
Take the saw from near where builder was standing.
Go to cyber-café and use saw on stuck man – he will leave the café.
If you want to, click on the computer on the left of screen and check your emails, and reply to each if you wish.
On computer, click the address (URLs) dropdown arrow, go to Dopeyman website, and print the “ultra-rare” Dopeyman.
Talk to Alfie behind the counter – he will only leave if the cyber-café runs out of supplies, or in case of fire.
Take the Dopeyman paper from the printer and talk to Alfie again – he will automatically leave when you exit the cyber-café, so exit.
Go back into cyber-café, click on cash register, and automatically take a couple of fivers (money).
Go to toy shop, and click on glue to buy it – you will also get a voucher for 10 free toys for being the 100th customer.
Go to cyber-café and give the free-toys-voucher to little brother Rudd.
Exit the cyber-café then go back in – Rudd has now gone.
In inventory, click on superglue then click on business-card – the card becomes sticky.
Click the sticky card on the Dopeymon printout – you now have a Fake Dopeymon Card (very rare).
Go to toyshop and click fake rare card on boy – he gives you his laminated Dopeymon card. Exit toyshop.
Go to the “car for sale” screen – this is your friend Kat Sawde’s house.
Use laminated card on door to open it.
Inside house, click on mobile phone (lying on telephone table), to automatically send message to Kat from Mum, telling her to come home immediately.
Go back to cyber-café and see that Kat has gone.
Hermione says she is Fudd’s sister from Jert World, and she blows up the house and cyber-café.
However, the portal becomes larger : “Farlor must have mis-calculated”.
Hermione goes through the portal to Jert, and Fudd’s dad arrives and talks to him.
You now automatically switch to Fudd’s other self in the world of Jert.
JERT WORLD
Talk to farmer : he has a gate-pass hidden in his fertiliser (in the hand-cart).
Talk to tall stranger : he will sell you some seeds for 1 groy (currency / money).
Use Light/Dark spell on blind man : “you have cured me, have a groy”.
Talk to tall stranger again about gate-pass – he will sell you his seeds in exchange for your groy.
Click the seeds on the fertiliser on the farmer’s handcart.
Use growth-spell on the fertiliser, and take the gate-pass from the plant that grows up from the fertiliser.
Show the gate-pass to the guard at the gate.
You are now in the town of Murne.
Take crowbar and pin from the shelf outside the Mage-Guild.
Go into shack next to the kid / boy – Vagrant materialises in the shack – he is in a “fire form”.
Go to Murne Battlehouse and take the plank leaning against the outside wall.
Click plank on bin-lid, and you now have the bin-lid.
Talk to bouncer at the Battlehouse entrance then click the bin-lid (shield) on him – you are given a plastic bag (dark bin bag) that was stuck to the bin-lid.
Use the large pin on the hippy-wizard – you will get his placard, and a few drops of hippy-wizard blood.
Use black bin-bag on birdwatcher, then use crowbar on dead bird to take it.
Go to pier and use placard on bottle in water to get bottle. It is empty.
Go to shack and click bottle on Vagrant – he becomes “Vagrant flame stored in bottle”.
Go into Mage-Guild and use Vagrant-bottle on candle – candle becomes lit and Fudd gets 1000 groy.
Use dead bird on Mages – they bring it back to life.
Click on coffee-cup, and Mages say you can have it if you get them some hippy-wizard blood.
Click hippy-wizard blood on Mages, and you get the coffee.
Go to boy and click the live bird on him – you get his sword.
Go to drunk guard at pier, and click coffee on him – he will sober up and join the other guard, who gives you an out-of-town pass.
Show sword to guard at battle-house, and you can go in.
Lycu, the Vagrant’s acquaintance, is sword-practicing with Tharko in the battle-house, and will take you and Vagrant to Meen if you have 500 groys and an out-of-town pass. Seeing that you have these items, Fudd, Vagrant and Lycu now travel to Meen.
At Meen, Tharko holds everyone at bay. Farlor and Hermione turn up. The evil Larfor turns up and says he is going to expand the portal, merge the 2 worlds, and get the Thod stone so he can gain power over both worlds, and will kill Fudd and his group.
Click the bottle on Vagrant, and he disappears into it. Lycu holds Larfor at bay. Farlor puts a breathing-bubble onto Fudd’s head.
Fudd automatically follows Larfor to the edge of the sea. Larfor merges the two worlds, and dives into the sea to get the Thod stone, so Fudd follows him. Larfor has got Kat’s hairband on his magic wand. Larfor says Thod is no longer in the Thod stone and must have gone to the spirit world. Larfor fires his magic wand at Fudd.
Use growth spell on the seaweed at Larfor’s feet – it grows around Larfor and traps him. Fudd’s air-bubble wears off, and Fudd drowns just below the surface. Farlor says he will return Kat’s hairband that floated up. Fudd is now in the spirit world – “To be continued”.
